I’ve just finished the score for the upcoming feature film “Hooligan,” written and directed by Marc Freshman. Hooligan is a modern Yakuza (Japanese mafia) film set in NYC. The plot centers on a disgraced Yakuza bodyguard seeking revenge for his master’s murder. The project provided me the opportunity to collaborate with my close friend and renowned sax player Lathan Hardy. I also sampled vocalists Jon Pratt (Ashes in the River) and Osamu Inoue (Sexy Baby).
